THINGS TO DO
Katohori is located on the eastern side of the island, it is the gentler side of Lefkada, with protected bays for swimming, rolling hills filled with orchards and the coast is dotted with many other smaller islands. The village itself you will find quiet and restful and you may not wish to leave, but in case you do, below are some of our suggestions of things to do, from the many attractions in this part of the island:
EXPLORE
Get Active Bike Tours - based in Nidri, Get Active offers cycling tours of the island countryside in a range of levels to suit all fittness types.
Kavvadas Watersports - based in Nidri, centre for all kinds of water activities including wakeboarding, parasailing and the 'crazy sofa!'
Go Wild Archery - between Nidri and Vlicho, set in the olive groves out of Vlicho, let out your ancient warrior, all equiment and instruction provided.
Lefkada Island Waterfalls - close to Nidri, take a short hike through some lovely scenery to discover the beautiful waterfalls and rock pools.
Horizon Watersports - based in Nidri, paddleboarding, windsurfing and kayaking.
Odysseia Boat Tour - leaving from Nidri Harbour, take a cruise on this replica ancient warship. The cruise visits neighbouring islands Scorpios, Meganisi and Madouri.
Nautilus Diving Club - Has centres in Vassiliki and Nidri, arranges diving excursions and lessons fit for all experience levels.
Archeological site of Ellomenos: This archeological site spreads from the fields of Nydri to the foot of the mountain Skaros until the position Magemenos, where Early Helladic tombs of the third millennium BC have been found. Ruins of buildings have been discovered there among them a farm house and a mill of the 4th century BC.

Taxiarhis Taverna - don't leave the village at all, the Katohori village tavern. Opens for dinner and serves mezes and meat specialties.
Karelis Bakery - in nearby Vlicho. Breads and traditional Greek sweets.
Siflogos Wines - located in the little mountainous village of Platistoma, Siflogos wines produces five types of wine, and is open by appointment. The village also contains a traditional tavern and coffee house which was formerly the village olive press.
Lefkas Earth Winery - find Lefkas Earth on the main island road, close to Sivota. They grow grape varieties found only on Lefkada and offer 20 minute tours for visitors in the summer. Check their website for the timetable.
Nearby Nidri has many restaurants, taverns and bakeries.
